The wizard hat for most magical goes to .... YOU!

This campaign was certainly exciting and down to the wire, but in the end, you rallied and decided, "Yes, let's make this thing."

Here's a message from Dylan, the game designer, to all you magical folx:

Just so you know, we'll be using BackerKit, so in about a week, if your pledge has gone through, you'll get a survey from us to get important information to help us get the game to you! In the survey, you'll be able to allocate any extra amount from your pledge (e.g. if you added $100 to reserve a spot for NWM 2018) and you'll also be able to do add-ons, like the new "Grab-Bag of One-of-a-Kind Prototype Items", which comes with a note from the designers, or throw a few bucks for beer and bagels into the tip jar.

If you backed at one of these levels:

  •  Put your likeness in the game as a character
  •  Design a card.
  •  Name something, get the credit

it'll be especially important to get that survey in quickly, since we have to get artists drawing and other graphics going. Dylan will be reaching out personally to all 13 character card backers, and you'll get a message from Maury about what kinds of photos are necessary.

Meanwhile, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to use the Comments section of the Kickstarter and help each other out with answers as you can.

We are very excited to get to work producing the game, and we'll send more updates as major milestones occur. Thanks again, for your support and excitement!

You're awesome! Stretch goal met! Last sprint!

Well.

We're over $40k!!!!

 So here are some things!

1. We will now have a redesigned scoreboard! It will be on thicker chipboard! And there will be a chipboard wand to designate the "Wand Bearer" or P1.

2. We are 3 backers away from adding Jae Creed (Kristin Casey, The Alchemic Fox) to the game. A new Magischola card, with a new effect.

3. "Podcasters" -- a specific type of wizard, are trying to infiltrate the game! James D'amato (@oneshotrpg); Alex Roberts of Backstory (@muscularpikachu) and Cap Blackard (@capblackard) will be on a new card, in caricature, mucking with things, should we hit 340 backers.

4. The next stretch goal is $45k. It's not out of the woods!

5. We've added a Grab-Bag of prototype goodies -- cards with typos, changed effects, and rejects, along with a personal note from the designers. You can add that to your pledge for just $19.

Thank you so very much for your support! Also, as long as you pledge $1, you'll have the opportunity to increase that to any level after the campaign ends, through BackerKit.

Again, WOW. You are ... magical.

New Add-On! Grab-bag of early cards & note from designers!
over 6 years ago – Tue, Oct 17, 2017 at 04:31:56 PM

Looking for a little extra loot? We've got unique cards from early editions of House Rivalry! Receive 3 random "grab-bag" cards, and a personal note about the cards from the designers. You could learn something fun about the development of our game, while also collecting 3 rare (and never to be sold!) cards for your set.

Whooo! We FUNDED! Thank you!

At about 8 p.m. eastern standard time, we went over $32,500, then immediately back under $32,500, then back over. And now here we are!

Any dropped pledges between now and the end will put us in jeopardy again, but for now, let's CELEBRATE!

And, yes, that means Merfolk Weaving Arts is now yours. Everyone needs a little underwater basketweaving in their lives. Just hope the mermaids are friendly ....

THANK YOU, BACKERS!
